Osteoporosis and fracture prevention resources

In collaboration with GERAS and Osteoporosis Canada, FCO has developed resources to increase awareness of and knowledge about osteoporosis and fracture prevention among LTC residents’ families. These resources can be used by the Family Councils to increase awareness of and knowledge about osteoporosis/fracture prevention within their Long-Term Care Homes, thereby helping to promote good bone health among LTC residents.

This talk sheet can be used by Family Councils to lead discussions on osteoporosis and fracture prevention at meetings and by family members as they get info on how osteoporosis and fractures affect their loved ones.
