Our Family Council has been active for almost 15 years and at present has 25 members who attend monthly meetings and work on various sub-committees. We have 50 other family members who choose to receive our minutes and/or news updates. Our LTC home has 288 residents and we are very involved in many areas from increasing volunteerism, hosting informational workshops on issues such as end of life care, helping to develop policies, educating families on care issues and the role of the Family Council, advocating for both families and residents as needed, planning an annual Family Council Day as well as supporting activities for our residents.
