Welcome to a spring flower-inspired session! Tulips came to Scandinavia over 400 years ago and are still a significant symbol of spring.
We will be folding paper tulips first by making a simple 2D version of the tulip flower to put on a card. Afterwards, we will make a little harder 3D version of a tulip flower which can be put in a vase.
Beginner friendly level
Materials needed:
- 2 origami paper, regular print paper or other thin papers for the 2D flower and 3D flower
- 1 thicker paper for the card
- scissors
- glue stick
- 1 thin twig, wooden chopstick, sturdy straw or any sturdy stick for the 3D flower stem
- colourful drawing pencils, pens, crayons and/or markers to decorate the card
About the presenter:
Asta Tutavae is a Danish artist and educator, she have a BA in contemporary art and will finish her MFA in material based art, spring 2022. She works in various mediums, but specialize in textile. Asta have experience teaching both children and adults in art and craft.
