o Creating opportunities to be a voice on behalf of residents
o Collaborating with Resident Council to plan and sponsor various events
o Providing mutual support and a safe space for each to share thoughts, feelings, joys and challenges with one another
o Facilitating communication and partnerships with home and staff
o Helping family members improve on and create positive change in residents’ lives and family members’ lives
o Providing assistance, information, and advice to residents and to family members of residents
o Advocating on behalf of residents Network with other councils for other creative approaches/solutions
