    Intergenerational Engagement in Residential Care Homes

    Intergenerational engagement allows individuals of all generations to come together and exchange life stories, skills, and experiences. In this session, participants will learn about the current trends and findings of intergenerational engagement in residential care homes in today's literature. The speaker will highlight potential benefits that intergenerational engagement entails for older adults as well as younger generations. The session will close with recommendations for future programs and practices.

    Charting a new course in long-term care

    On March 24th, Family Councils Ontario will be hosting a virtual conference titled Charting a New Course in LTC: Updates, Innovations, and Lessons Learned from COVID-19. The goal of this virtual event is to provide attendees with relevant and relatable information on the long-term care sector amidst the COVID-19 pandemic as well as promising practices for moving forward. We also hope to provide attendees with best practices for informing public policy and innovative sector change as well as tools to actively engage in advocacy initiatives.
