Staff training: Finding the opportunity within the challenges: tips, strategies and tools to create and support positive relationships with family members!

This session is designed for LTC staff who work with Family Councils and other family members. Topics covered will include: the role, purpose, functioning and impact of Family Councils; the role of the Family Council Staff Assistant; the Long-Term Care Homes Act as it pertains to Family Councils; effective communication; managing and negotiating expectations; and, finding the potential in challenging circumstances.

Goal: To help you confidently engage your Home’s families and Family Council!
